Hello there,
Today for period 3 i'm in HR ( Homeroom )with my lovely homeroom teacher Mrs,Hastie. Mrs,Hastie has asked us to make a blog post about Daylight Saving NZ.She also told us to do some research about daylight saving and to post what we found out about Daylight Saving NZ.So if just found somethings on the internet like why we have it and when does it start.
This is one of the facts I found on the internet ( Google).
- New Zealand was the home of one of the pioneers of DST, but the seasonal change was not adopted in the country before 1927. ... However, in 1909, the parliamentarian Thomas Sidey proposed to move the clocks 1 hour forward in New Zealand's summer period to allow for an extra hour of daylight in the evenings.
- The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time (called "Summer Time" in many places in the world) is to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening.
